I bought the red version in November. Today I decided to try it out the first time. I got my yoplait berry mix and the milk. Put it into the jar, plugged the blender in. And IT DOESN’T WORK!
How about that? A $100 blender from a supposed top brand seller and the unit comes DOA? What kind of quality control allows a non-working unit to ship out?
I called Kithchen Aid, the lady was nice. She said she’s sending a replacement but not to expect it in about 2-4 weeks! My freaking goodness! So what will I do with the berry mix and milk in the jar now? Once the new unit arrives, I plan on sending it back to Kitchen Aid with the berry mix and the rotten milk.
Thanks KA, just ruined my day!

I have an older model kitchenaid with glass container and removeable bottom for cleaning, excellent machine. Went to buy a new one for my daughter and was very disapointed with the one piece plastic container, which I could fortell the future of major problems. Glad I read customer reviews first. DID NOT BUY, CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP.

I am strongly considering buying this blender. I am looking for something that can completely blend kale and other fiberous leafy greens plus apple and blueberry skins…. to make a smooth homogeneous smoothie and I have not found any mention of this in any of the reviews. Please advise!

great product. I’v been looking for a good sprayer for several months.
This one does the job.

For the price, this blender leaves a lot to be desired. The carafe is great and easy to clean. It has good power, but the thing that really stinks is if you make something just a little bit thick, like say mashed potatoes, it can’t pull the mix down to the bottom. It makes a vacuum in the bottom of the blender and just spins around by itself. You have to open the blender and push the mixture down at least a dozen times and by that time, your mashed potatoes are glue with big chunks in them.
The same thing if you put a little too much ice into your smoothie. It can’t make a drink the consistency of a slurpie without constant pushing of the mixture to the bottom. All the other blenders I had could do this, not this one. My next blender will be a Vitamix. This one isn’t worth the price and the fact it can’t handle much at all without you pushing the mixture down so many times is really infuriating. You would think Kitchen Aide could do better.
